An evening to celebrate Robert Burns
Thursday, January 25, 2018
Mount Royal Club, Montreal
This annual event celebrates Robbie Burns, who came to fame as a poet when he was 27 years old, and whose lifestyle of wine, women and song made him famous all over Scotland. It is an opportunity to share a wee dram with friends, enjoy a traditional Scottish meal (with a gourmet flair) and raise your glasses in a toast to the lads and lassies.
The 2018 Burns Supper was a great success, with a sellout crowd enjoying a traditional Scottish meal in the beautiful and historic Mount Royal Club. Guests were also treated to Scottish piping, delightfully witty toasts and speeches, and dramatic recitations of Burns' poetry (including the stirring Address to the Haggis). It was a lovely opportunity to mingle with friends both old and new, and to celebrate our Scottish heritage.
Many thanks to all who took part, and we look forward to the 2019 Burns Supper!
