The St. Andrew’s Society of Montreal provides educational aid to qualified students of Scottish ancestry by means of bursaries and scholarships.

There are three criteria for getting a Educational bursary with the St. Andrew’s Society of Montreal:
Grants of $1000 each were made to Bishop’s University, Concordia University, McGill University, l’Universite de Montreal and $2000 to the Scottish Studies Program at the University of Guelph.
The Society has set up a Research Travel Bursary to the Scottish Studies department at the University of Guelph. A grant of $2000 may be made annually to enable a student to travel to Scotland to conduct research. The program runs to 2016.
From 2015 onwards, a $5000 grant from the Hogg Foundation will enable us to pay a $500 premium to post-graduate recipients of our bursaries.
All applications (Initial or Repeat) for the Fall term should be submitted by May 30th.
All applications (Initial or Repeat) for the Winter term should be submitted by the previous October 31st.
Submission of transcripts indicating GPA or other evidence of full-time attendance at an institution should follow the applications as soon as possible.
