The St. Andrew's Society of Montreal was organized in 1835 and
the principal purpose and function of the St. Andrew's Society of
Montreal is to assist persons of Scottish birth or descent who are
in need, and also to grant educational aid to qualified students
of Scottish ancestry by means of bursaries and scholarships. Download

The Society has a long history of conducting charitable work directed
towards the Scottish community within the city of Montreal and occasionally
provides grants to cultural and community organizations that promote
Scottish culture and carry out related activities. Download

Dear Society Member,
The Society’s Communications Committee is presently assessing
our methods of communication, in particular our website. In the
same effort we are also evaluating the membership’s overall
reasons for joining and satisfaction. We would appreciate it if
you could download
and fill out the questionnaire below and return it to the Society
at nking@standrews.qc.ca.
Here is a link to the Montreal
Scottish and Celtic Culture Meetup Group. This is a meetup
group for Scots, those with Scots ancestry or those interested in
Scottish/Celtic culture. They have regular monthly meetups, and
are affiliated with the St Andrew's Society.
Events organized or promoted by the Society this past year included:
- Whisky Tasting at the Black Watch Armory;
- Scottish Country Dancing (practice for the Ball)
- St. Andrew's Ball
- Children's Christmas Party at the Black Watch Armoury
- Burns Night Supper
- Pot Luck Supper
- Annual Meeting and New Members reception
- Montreal Highland Games
