2017 Montreal Highland Games
The Montreal Highland Games are proud to announce they are returning to the green grounds of the Douglas Hospital in Verdun to celebrate our 40th anniversary on Sunday, August 6 with full Highland pageantry. The day will include pipe band, highland dance and heavy weight competitions, including the caber toss, sheaf toss, hammer throw and putting the stone, featuring competitors from throughout North America. The Celtic bands Mudmen and Mariner’s Curse will be performing in the cèilidh entertainment tent during the afternoon and evening program.

Don’t miss the Caber Parade with pipes and drums through the streets of Verdun! Volunteers, come join us on the Douglas Hospital grounds after the parade for an evening of Celtic music with Mariner’s Curse.
Saturday, August 5, 7 pm
Join us for our 40th Anniversary Cèilidh at the Douglas Hospital with the Mayor of Verdun, Jean-François Parenteau, and Celtic band Kitchen Party!
Sunday, August 6, 9 am
Join us at the Douglas Hospital for the Caledonian Run! There will be a 5K run, 5K Clan/Team run, and 1K Fun run at Montreal’s premier Scottish summer event! Lace up your running shoes and join us for a run through the glen, as the sounds of Highland bagpipes fill the air. Every participant will receive a ticket to the 2017 Montreal Highland Games and a 2017 MHG Caledonian Run T-shirt. This is a timed run.
